Storytelling as a powerful tool for teachers to capture students’ attention

Mount Carmel College is a premier institution for women’s education in India, established in 1948.

Unbox curated a unique storytelling model to enable teachers to use storytelling as a learning tool coupled with discovering their strengths from their life events. In this gamified learning experience, the teachers used concepts of visual storyboarding to be able to better empathize and connect with students. The workshop followed four simple yet powerful steps- posing the question, construction, sharing and reflection.

As an outcome of the workshop, teachers were able to-
  • – visualize better by creating mental pictures, auditory and kinesthetic appeal
  • – build better interpersonal relationships with meaningful conversations
  • – reflect on their life journey and discover strengths within to build confidence
