Unlocking Potential: A Journey of Innovation

Purpose

Unbox partnered with one of India’s most successful consumer brands to design and deliver a 200-day engagement aimed at fostering a culture of innovation. The goal was to empower a select group of young, high-potential employees to develop creative solutions to key business challenges using the Design Thinking (DT) framework, with a focus on fulfilling unmet customer needs and co-creating new-age products and services.

Challenge

The consumer brand sought to infuse innovation throughout the organization, especially by tapping into the creative potential of its younger employees. The challenge was to equip these individuals with the tools and mindset needed to tackle eight critical business challenges identified by senior leadership. Additionally, the organization needed a structured approach to generating new ideas and testing them with real customers to ensure practical, market-ready solutions.

Unbox Solution

Unbox developed a 200-day engagement, centered around the Design Thinking (DT) framework, designed to inspire and guide 25 handpicked employees through an intensive innovation journey. Key components of the program included:

Discovery and Ideation: Using the DT approach, participants explored opportunities to address unmet customer needs and brainstormed over 1,700 ideas.

Co-creation and Prototyping: The young innovators worked on solving eight key business challenges, co-creating products and services aligned with the company’s future vision.

Constant Support and Feedback: Unbox’s DT experts provided ongoing feedback and support throughout the concept learning, implementation, and evaluation stages, ensuring that ideas were refined and aligned with business goals.

The structured engagement provided participants with the tools and confidence to challenge the status quo, resulting in innovative solutions that resonated with both leadership and end users.
